Kurdish Rah-Rah Rugs

Finely woven in tea-dyed wool, these attractive, well balanced rugs are woven using Soumak technique. They originate from the Kerman area in Iran, but most are made in N Iraq & SE Turkey. The name 'Rah Rah' means 'road road', (this being a reference to the horizontal lines of the designs.)
